A “paraeducator” is an individual who is employed in a preschool, elementary school, or secondary school under the supervision of a certified or licensed teacher, including individuals employed in language instruction educational programs, special education and migrant education. Paraeducators provide essential classroom support to promote student success!

Eligibility Requirements:

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Must have the right to work in the United States.
• Must be planning to apply for Paraeducator jobs in local school districts.
• Must be willing and physically able to toilet/diaper students, have contact with bodily fluids, keep student information confidential, and assist with students in the classroom and playground.
• Must pass a reading and math placement test.
• Must pay for and pass a fingerprint/background check and TB test.
